Professor Francis Martinson, a distinguished academic and medical researcher, has presented a commemorative plaque listing the 26 individuals who formed the institution’s pioneering class of the KNUST Medical School in 1975.

The plaque, which serves as a permanent record of the founding class, is set to be displayed prominently on campus.
According to Professor Martinson, the initiative aims to ensure that the names and contributions of these trailblazers are remembered and celebrated by future generations.
In addition to the plaque, the group donated a copy of Nelson’s Textbook of Pediatrics to the university’s library.
This essential medical resource is primarily intended to support postgraduate paediatric training but will also be accessible to undergraduate students seeking to deepen their knowledge in the field.
